On Monday, the Turkish Defense Industries Presidency revealed the start of the assembly of the armored “Pars”, meaning “tiger” “six-wheel drive” anti-mines developed in the framework of a project to meet the needs of the armed forces.
In the same context, the head of the Turkish defense industries, Ismail Demir, said that the armored vehicle was designed to provide a safe transportation for individuals, and it has high protection capabilities of the new generation.
“Demir” explained that it repels the attacks during missions with a remote-controlled weapon system, indicating that it is able to deal with all the rough terrain thanks to its hexagon propulsion feature, according to Arabi 21.
“Demir” stressed that the armored vehicle will enter service in the Turkish army in 2021, pointing to the possibility of exporting it abroad to meet the needs of the security forces.
For his part, the Director General of the Turkish company “FNSS” specialized in defense industries, “Nael Qurat”, added that his company reached the stage of assembling the armored vehicle within 15 months of signing the contract agreed with the head of defense industries, stressing that the armored vehicle will increase the strength of the Turkish army.
It is worth noting that the company “FNSS” delivered last year 2019, two vehicles carrying “Tiger” weapon to the Turkish army, and on March 23, 2020 delivered 6 vehicles equipped with anti-armor launchers.
