Aqeela Saleh always took advantage of his position and promoted himself to the international community as the head of the Libyan parliament and the only representative of this council, especially after the parliament held his sessions in Tripoli during Haftar aggression.
Saleh, as usual, taking advantage of his previous character, said today that he will demand the Egyptian army to intervene militarily in Libya if necessary and attack the Libyan army forces in Sirte or Al-Jufra, and this is not the first time that Aqeela has demanded Egyptian intervention. He demanded this last January.
The media loyal to the Haftar camp took advantage of this statement and promoted it that the House of Representatives welcomes the threat of the Egyptian President to intervene militarily in Libya, and this prompted the House of Representatives to issue a statement clarifying the facts of things and Saleh’s current status.
Aqeela is a boycotting member
The House of Representatives announced that the boycotting member, Aqeela Saleh, represents only himself, and has no right to speak on behalf of the House, expressing dissatisfaction with Saleh’s actions and his threat to national security and his disruption of stability and civil peace. In a statement on Tuesday, the House indicated that those representing the House are the majority of the members who are meeting in the capital, noting that the meeting of the Housein Tripoli came in accordance with the provisions of Articles 16 and 17 of the Libyan political agreement signed in Skhirat.

Member of Parliament “Omar Ghaith” says that Aqeela Saleh is not legitimate, and his House is canceled according to the provisions of Articles 16 and 17 of the Libyan Political Agreement signed in Skhirat.
Ghaith said, in a statement to the Arraed, that the House considered Aqeela as a boycotting member and his House members since the first session held in Tripoli after the aggression was launched on the capital, noting that the countries that support the “coup leader” Haftar: Egypt, Russia, the UAE, France and Saudi Arabia “see Their greed is with him, even though they are in all international forums declaring their support for the legitimacy in Libya, which is the government of reconciliation.
Ghaith explained that Aqeela’s demand for Egyptian interference and welcoming it falls within the circle of treason, and on the legal side this is a crime, and that Aqeela must be issued with legal notes and be referred to the public prosecutor to take the necessary measures, according to him.
Ghaith added that articles 16 and 17 of the political agreement stipulate that the council be convened in any city if the members join, even the boycotting memebers , and the door is open to all members.

For her part, a member of the House of Representatives, “Rabia Abu Ras,” said that Aqeela Saleh is a boycotting member of the parliament and represents only himself, and he is incompetent.
In a statement to the pioneer, Abu Ras demanded the supreme commander of the Libyan army, winner Al-Sarraj and the government of reconciliation, to restore all Libyan regions and cities, and to extend the authority of the state and beating with an iron fist, anyone who want to underestimate the Libyan state or attack its lands or its people through “illegitimate rogue robbers.”
