The President of the Presidential Council, Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Fayez al-Sarraj, discussed on Monday with the commander of the American military command in Africa, “AFRICOM”, General “Stephen Townsend,” the joint coordination in combating terrorism, and hit his remnants in the framework of strategic cooperation between the State of Libya and the United States of America.
Al-Sarraj reviewed with Townsend during the meeting between them in the city of Zuwara, in the presence of the American Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland and the accompanying delegation, the developments of the situation and the latest military and security developments and the American efforts; To stabilize Libya.
The meeting was attended from the Libyan side by, Minister of Interior Fathi Bashagha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Salah Al-Namroush, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Sharif, the commander of the joint operations room Major General Osama Aljwaili, the commander of the military zone, Tripoli Major General Abdul Basit Marwan, and the commander of the Central regoin military zone Major General Mohamed Alhaddad, and the commander of Sirte_Aljufra Operations Room, Brigadier General Ibrahim Bait Almal.
It is worth noting that the US military command in Africa, AFRICOM, reported last week that there are Russian planes in Libya used to support private military companies sponsored by the Russian government, confirming that they have photographs of take off of the MiG-29 plane from Al-Jufra, and a MiG-29 aircraft operating near the city of Sirte.
