Sawan pointed out that one of the political implications of the defeat of Haftar is the attempts of states supporting him to adhere to the political solution.
Sawan asserted, in a statement to Arabi 21, that the defeated does not dictate conditions and does not present initiatives, but they can be offered conditions that he implements in return for not pursuing him or engaging him in a low level negotiating ceiling, pointing out that what Aqeela Saleh brought is a step backwards.
Sawan called rational political voices in the Libyan East to move forward and announce themselves , to engage in a dialogue on all issues open to solution, understanding and waiver if there is an agreement to reject the military and authoritarian project.
Sawan stated that it is indispensable for the United Nations Mission to sponsor this dialogue, and that this be within the framework of the political agreement signed in Skhirat, pointing out that the Libyans do not see Haftar as a partner in peace; Because he chose war as the only solution.
It is worth noting that the Libyan army forces announced, on June 5, the liberation of the entire western region from the militias of Haftar and its mercenaries.
