The UN Security Council unanimously extended the resolution to ban the supply of weapons to Libya for another year, starting from the date of its issuance on Friday.
The text of the resolution contained, according to what was reported by the “Anatolia” agency, that the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Antonio Guterres”, should submit a report to the council within 11 months of taking this resolution, stressing the need to implement Resolution “2510”, which ratified the Berlin outputs.
It is worth noting that the UN Security Council renewed in June last year 2019 the resolution to ban the supply of weapons to Libya and to inspect ships suspected of violating the resolution.
