Qanunu: The liberation operation of the Alwittia air base was coordinated, and it was liberated with minimal war effort.

Libyan army spokesman, Colonel Pilot Mohamed Qanunu, confirmed on Monday the extension of control over Alwittia Air Force Base, adding that the operation of its liberation was not lightning quick , but was coordinated, and began with the launch of the “Peace Storm” operation, one of the stages of the “Volcano of Anger” operation.

Qanunu said, in a special statement to Arraed, that the last severe blow suffered by the Haftar militias entrenched in the base was the destruction of the two air defense systems, “Banser”, after following them from their base of departure to the moment they entered the base.

Qanunu added that the liberation of Alwittia was accomplished with minimal war effort, and that the army forces are currently cleansing the base , and “we will announce from their that we are continuing our struggle until the authority of the Libyan state extends over every inch of its territory.”

The Libyan army spokesman, called on who took up arms against their country, to return to their senses; “Their souls and their lives are important to us, and they should not be shed in negligence, for the sake of the interests of the hostile states and coup projects funded from abroad. The battle is over.”
