President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, expressed, on Monday, during a phone call to the European Union’s foreign policy coordinator, “Josep Borrell”, that he is dissatisfied with the fact that the Union has not taken a more resolute and effective stance on the crimes committed by the Haftar militias against civilians, the latest of which is the bombing of a center for the displaced people in Alfornaj area in Tripoli.
Al-Sarraj assured “Borel” that these violations are systematically committed and constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity and a serious violation of the rules of international humanitarian law, according to the official page of the media office of the President of the Presidential Council.
Al-Sarraj reiterated his objection to the limited Ireni observation operation on the Mediterranean, pointing to the necessity of the process to be integrated by land, air and sea, adding that military supplies did not stop coming to the aggressor party, which is the reason behind the continuing violations and operations.
It is worth noting that 7 civilians were killed, including a child, and 17 others were injured, after the Haftar militias bombed, on Sunday, the university dormitory building that houses displaced families in Alfornaj area in Tripoli.
