The International Law Committee of the Ministry of Justice deplores the crimes of Haftar and the shameful silence of the Security Council.

The National Committee for International Humanitarian Law at the Ministry of Justice expressed its regret that the heinous crimes by the Haftar militias against civilians continued in light of the shameful and dubious silence of the UN Security Council.

And the committee said, in a statement on Saturday, that the Security Council did not bother to condemn and stop this aggression, and to curb the countries that support it, which were not deterred by the horrific images that appear on a daily basis about the victims of the aggression and its continued threat to international peace and security by worsening the situation in the country, The expansion of the conflict in it threatens the lives of Libyans, and heralds the destruction of their construction in a blatant challenge to all international laws and norms.

The committee affirmed that all these violations and crimes are added to the criminal record of Haftar, his subordinates, and the countries that conspired with him, and to the file of international and domestic prosecution, whose perpetrators will not escape punishment.

It is worth noting that the militias of Haftar bombed several neighborhoods of Tripoli and the Maitiqa International Airport with more than 100 rockets, killing 7 civilians, and taking out two planes out of work, and caused severe damage to the facilities of Maitiqa airport.
