The Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Antonio Guterres” said Thursday, that the return to previous normalcy depends on finding an effective vaccine for the epidemic spreading across the world.
Guterres said, according to the Italian agency “Aki”, that this vaccine, if found, would save the lives of millions of people and save billions of dollars, stressing the need for ambitious, coordinated and rapid efforts to spread such a vaccine at a general level until the end of the current year 2020.
Guterres praised the efforts of the United Nations World Health Organization to help many countries deal with the Corona epidemic, especially Africa.
It is worth noting that the Secretary-General of the United Nations “Antonio Guterres” launched at the end of last March a bid to raise 2 billion dollars, to start a humanitarian plan to end the epidemic.
