Guterres: Williams is working hard with all Libyan parties to abide by the ceasefire to confront Corona.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said on Thursday that his envoy to the United Nations Mission in Libya, Stephanie Williams, is working very hard with all parties to uphold the ceasefire.

Guterres, on Thursday, during a press conference held with journalists at the United Nations headquarters in New York, reiterated the need to adhere to the ceasefire to make room for efforts to combat the Corona epidemic, noting that his call to stop the hostilities met with positive responses.

Guterres confirmed his intention to report this week to the international community on some of the violations that occurred after his call

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, welcomed the end of last March, the positive responses to the ceasefire in Libya, to confront the spread of the Corona epidemic.

It is worth noting that the US embassy in Libya demanded Haftar in mid-March to stop hostilities, to stop foreign interference and to allow medical crews to combat the Corona virus pandemic.
