The UN mission calls for an immediate end to the military escalation.

On Wednesday, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya called for an immediate end to the military escalation, including the cessation of hostilities, the moblization of forces and the flow of arms and foreign fighters to Libya.

On its official page, the mission reminded all parties of the conflict in Libya of their obligations in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law to ensure the protection of civilians.

The mission said that while the entire world is engaged in combating the spread of the Coruna epidemic, attacks and counterattacks in Libya continue to cause more suffering and civilian casualties.

It is worth noting that the Hifter militias continue to bomb several neighborhoods in the city of Tripoli, despite its announcement in response to international calls for a ceasefire.
