The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, is ready to continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Health, in accordance with the annual workplan and offer support in emergency situations .
This came during a meeting of the Minister of Health, Ahmed bin Omar, on Sunday, with the regional director of the organization in the Middle East and North Africa, Ted Shaiban, in which they discussed the health system in Libya, the conditions of children, the development of the primary health care system, challenges in health services and joint cooperation plans in the health field.
The head of the Child Protection Department at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Libya, Rania Sharshar, said at the beginning of March that more than 15,000 people, including 8,000 children, were receiving awareness of the dangers of explosive ammunition in the country annually.
