Siala: Asarraj requests the help of Chinese experts from the Chinese President , and confirms that the country is free of Coronavirus.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Siala said on Monday that President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Asarraj, has sent a letter to the President of the Republic of China, requesting the assistance of their experts on how to deal with the Corona pandemic.

And Siala confirmed in a press conference accompanied by Health Minister Hamid bin Omar, transportation Minister Milad Maatouk, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Khaled Mazen, that Libya is free of the Corona epidemic. Bin Omar praised the efforts made by the Ministry in cooperation with the relevant authorities to take proactive measures to prevent the arrival of the deadly epidemic, and not to underestimate its risks in the event of registring an infected case, calling on citizens to assume their responsibilities by following the educational instructions issued by the National Center for Disease Control, and following the leaflets issued by them.

For his part, Minister of Transport , Milad Maatouq, confirmed that starting to close the air and land ports from Monday, and to stop flights to and from Libyan airports, with the exception of flying ambulance, official delegations, internal transport of passengers and air freight of goods.

Maatouq added that the decision excludes work at seaports to dock ships loaded with goods and follow health safety procedures by the monitoring teams of the National Center for Disease Control, stressing the continuation of work at the border crossings of Ras Ijdir and Wazin, to enter the Libyan citizens stranded on the Libyan-Tunisian border.

Maatouq pointed out that there is a committee asigned to follow up the Libyan citizens present in a number of countries of the world through the Libyan consulates in those countries and coordinate their return through the border crossings of Wazen and Ras Ijadir, after ensuring their safety from the epidemic.

For his part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Khaled Mazen, reviewed the steps taken by the Ministry regarding the follow-up of land entry points to facilitate the entry of citizens stranded at the borders after they underwent medical examination by specialists affiliated with the Ministry of Health.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council declared, on Saturday, the state of emergency in Libya, to confront and combat the threat of the Corona virus, by stopping study, and stopping of traveling by air and land.
