“The Guardian”: It is difficult to describe Haftar as the strong man for his repeated failure, and Macron is a “hypocrite”.

The British newspaper “The Guardian” said that it is difficult to describe Hifter as the strong man because of his failure to achieve the progress he expected even with extensive external support. Therefore, the belief that it is the solution is not only shameful but an odd one despite his oppressive authority.

The newspaper described French President Emmanuel Macron’s criticism of Turkish President Erdogan as “hypocrisy” when he criticized sending Turkish warships to Libya, and neglected to mention the UAE and Egypt as the biggest supporter of the warlord, Khalifa Hifter.

The newspaper considered that it is foolish to think that “Hifter” will bring “stability” to the Libyan people who have endured decades of the tyranny of Muammar Gaddafi and have suffered from turmoil since he was ousted by revolutionaries in 2011 with the support of NATO, according to Al Jazeera Net.

It is worth noting that Hifter has failed since April 2019 to achieve his stated objective of controlling the capital, Tripoli, and the overthrow of the internationally recognized GNA.
