The High Representative for Foreign Policy in the European Union, Joseph Borrell, said on Monday that the declaration of a ceasefire in Libya provides an important opportunity to resume dialogue for a political solution.
Borrell stressed the need for the Libyan conflicting parties to implement the ceasefire in full, noting that the European Union is ready to provide assistance in completing the Berlin process within the framework of the United Nations efforts.
It is worth noting that the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy Affairs, “Josep Borrell,” confirmed, on Wednesday, in a joint statement with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy and Britain, their intention to end the fighting immediately in the vicinity of Tripoli and other regions of the country.
