The Justice and Construction Party called on the GNA and the Libyan army on Sunday, to continue to abide by the ceasefire while retaining their legitimate right to respond firmly and vigorously in cases of defense against any breaches.
In a statement, the party warned the government against Hifter and his mercenaries exploiting the ceasefire for mobilizing and treachery, warning that all precautions should be taken.
The party’s statement stated that the ceasefire should be an introduction followed by a complete end to the aggression on all fronts, and an immediate start to restore conditions to what they were as a condition for any political dialogue.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Fayez ASarraj, announced, on Sunday, a ceasefire in response to the invitation of Turkish Presidents Rejep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian Vladimir Putin.
