Italian agency Aki said on Wednesday that Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte will renew his call to US President Donald Trump for a “greater US commitment” to resolving the crisis in Libya.
Aki, citing Italian government sources, said that the ambiguity surrounding Washington’s stance on the Libyan dossier was wiped out because of Russian intervention in the war in favor of Hifter.
It is worth noting that the United States warned Hifter in early November against Russia’s incursion into the Libyan dossier and exploiting it for the sake of its own interests at the expense of the Libyan people.
