The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of the so-called “Emad Shuqaabi” accused in the case of coordinating operations between ISIS and Ansar al-Sharia.
The ministry said on its official page on Friday that it had begun the investigation procedures with “Shuqabi” before referring him to the Office of the Attorney General; to take legal action against him in accordance with the law.
The ministry added that the arrest took place on the instructions of Interior Minister Fathi Pashaga, noting that the Central Support Forces Tajura, tracked the wanted and monitored his movements accurately, and arrested him yesterday evening.
The ministry warned all who try to destabilize thelife of the citizen and sow sedition and insult the state institutions under any pretext or attribute and whatever his positions, stressing that it would deal with security abuses and terrorist acts, and extortion and threatening state institutions in all seriousness and according to legal grounds.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Interior issued a few days ago instructions to search and investigate “Imad Shuqaabi” and arrest him on charges of coordination between ISIS and Ansar al-Sharia.
