Minister of Economy and Industry Ali al-Issawi said that the Tripoli Metro project will contribute to encouraging investors without the need for sovereign guarantees or commitments from the Libyan government.
According to the official page of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, on Sunday, during the technical presentation, investors have shown interest in the project, explaining that the project will be of four underground lines and a bus network over the ground and the completion of infrastructure projects connected with the projects of sewage networks and data transport cables and electricity.
Al-Issawi said that the project creates 40,000 direct jobs and trains about 12 thousand trainees in the early stages of the project, and It was agreed to form a technical committee from the concerned parties and provide a practical road map for implementing the project by the investor.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Economy and Industry Ali al-Issawi announced Sunday at a news conference that the Ministry of Economy will establish a subway project worth 10 billion euros.
