The United Nations mission in Libya, on Wednesday, warned of the consequences that would follow the breach of the cease-fire agreement signed last September, the violation of the security in the capital and endangering the lives of civilians and their properties.
In a statement, the mission condemned the military actions in the south of Tripoli, saying it was monitoring the events closely, with full responsibility for all who started the fire.
And stressed that it will take all necessary measures and actions, based on the development of events on the ground; in order to deter these attempts condemned and rejected, according to the statement.
The Mission reminded all parties that any direct or indirect attack on civilians, their properties, and public facilities, was a flagrant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law.
The armed clashes broke out Wednesday morning near the Qasr Ben Ghashir area, south of Tripoli between the “Seventh Brigade” and “Tripoli’s Proterction Force” led to the fall of a number of dead and injured.
