Frequent Fabrications And Anonymous Identities, Says The Justice And Construction Party, In Response To Al-Marsad

The Justice and Construction Party, on Saturday, announced that the party’s legal office had begun to take legal action against Al-Marsad newspaper, which has falsely accused the chairman of the party, Mohammed Sawan, without giving proof or any sort of credibility.

In a statement, the party explained that the publication of such reports contradicts the standards of how the media works, and that the purpose of its publication is to achieve political goals and narrow “malicious” targets at the expense of truth and honesty, with the aim to frame the party and its president to extremism and terrorism falsely and recklessly, according to the statement.

The statement pointed out that the party and its president have proven their fight against terrorism by word and deed at all political and media levels, as many of its members have fallen in the field in the face of terrorism, thus these accusations will not fool any fair observer, and that the newspaper and its financiers must look for other ways of discrediting the opponents.

The party stressed that these actions only indicate the lack if ethics in the profession by their newspaper observers and their failure to confront with an evidence, to resort to fraud and deception, demanding newspaper to declare the identity of those who carried the false allegations to the public to take responsibility for their actions before the judiciary and public opinion.

“Al-Mursad” newspaper published a report on Friday in which had accused the chairman of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohammed Sawan,  of being involved in “terrorist” operations without evidence.
