The coordinator of the “Fazan Anger” movement Mesbah Ellafy, on Saturday, denied the relation between the members of the movement in Al-Sharara oilfield with any security threats to the field or its staff, pointing out that they reduced the number of protesters according to their agreement with the President of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj.
In a statement to ArraedLg, Ellafy said that the protesters in Al-Sharara Oilfield of the “Fazan’s anger” movement took a place away from the field and their headquarters and that they were following the implementation of what what was agreed upon with the president, pointing out that the statements of the Chairman of the NOC Mustafa Sanallah is a matter of the security authorities and the state, not of the movement’s.
Ellafy stressed that the demands of Sanalla’s demands are legitimate and that the movement is peaceful and does not aim at destabilizing the security in the region or the country.
The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, said on Friday that the status of force majeure can not be nullified from Al-Sharara oilfield unless new and alternative security arrangements are put in place.
