The Industrial River Authority, on Monday, announced the destruction and vandalism and theft of four wells, following the the armed attack at the western field of Al-Hasawneh System last night.
On its official page, the River Authority said that the number of wells destroyed and out of service after the attack amounted to 92 wells, appealing to the executive and legislative authorities to protect the fields and components of the river project.
The agency warned of the danger of repeated attacks on wells, noting that this will be a reason to stop the water supply from many cities.
The Great Man-Made River system had in the past appealed to governments and security services to protect the system of repeated attacks that could cause the cessation of water supply on the northern coast.
