Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that preparations for the presidential and parliamentary elections should begin in the spring of 2019.
In a statement on the sidelines of the Palermo conference published by “Russia Today”, Bogdanov stressed that unified administrative institutions should be established in Libya in order to preserve the sovereignty and territorial unity of the country.
Bogdanov stressed the importance of speeding up the preparatory process, which includes steps, the most important of which is the provision of security through the formation of unified armed forces and army and security services, stressing the need to prepare the constitutional rule for the holding of elections on schedule.
In their final statement, the participants in the “Palermo” conference, confirmed the importance of completing the constitutional entitlement and the completion of the elections in the spring of 2019.
