The security director of Sabratha, Colonel Zayed Al-Khattabi, on Tuesday, confirmed the stability of the security situation and the resumption of the study in the city after it was stopped on Monday.
In a statement to ArraedLg, Al-Khattabi said that a delegation of the municipal officials visited today the Sabratha South School, which was taken over by the armed group on Sunday, adding that the city’s borders are fully insured and the security and military units are deployed inside.
The spokesman pointed out that they took control of the situation in the city from the first day the group had entered, indicating that this armed group that broke into the city came from the desert area, an open area in the south of Sabratha.
The armed clashes erupted on Sunday in the municipality of Sabratha between the force of the operations room to fight ISIS in Sabratha and an armed force led by the commander of the 48th Infantry Division, formerly known as “AL-Amo”.
