Tripoli Security Directorate condemned on Saturday the indiscriminate firing of rockets and missiles at residential areas and vital installations in the city.
The Directorate explained in a statement that these acts prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that these “gangs” do not abide by a charter, and that they are far from what they call the discipline and subordination to military or legitimate institutions.
The Security Directorate confirmed that it documents all cases of indiscriminate shelling, and will prove the facts and prosecute the perpetrators and bring them to justice, noting that the shelling hit the headquarters of the Directorate, Mitiga International Airport and the houses of citizens in different areas in Tripoli.
On Friday, indiscriminate shelling of civilian houses in the city of Tripoli was reported.
