The Government of National Accord (GNA) Interior Minister, Abdul Salam Ashour said that the security services arrested all the perpetrators of the attack on Kaam gate and they are now under investigation.
Ashour said in statements to media outlets on Friday that the investigations indicate that IS is behind the attack, stressing that the arrested personals are all Libyans, some of them were fighting in Syria, pointing out that they will be referred to the Attorney General office and will announce the circumstances of the case immediately after the completion of investigations.
The Minister explained that there is full coordination with all the security services of the GNA and have a lot of information about the movements of IS, but the political division and fragility of the situation, especially in the south makes the coordination of security at country level weak.
On Thursday, an armed attack resulted in the death of four security men and wounded four others.
