We have reached the final steps to implement economic reforms, says HCS president

The president of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mashri said they have reached the final steps to implement the program of economic reforms, stressing the completion of more than 98% in the framework of activating these reforms.

Al-Mashri denied in a TV interview on Wednesday that there were obstacles facing these reforms, pointing out that the most important reform plans are the attempt to eradicate the black market for foreign exchange.

Al-Mashri pointed out that the reforms aim to impose fees on the value of foreign exchange so that these fees will return to the treasury of the State, contribute to the reduction of the foreign exchange market in the parallel market, solve the liquidity crisis, deal with some frozen laws such as the family allowance law.

Al-Mashri said that if the foreign exchange fees were imposed by 200%, the price of the dollar would be 4.2 dinars, which would make it available at all banks.
