The Airport Road Tawergha camp director, Ramadan Shleik said on Friday that the central security of Abu Salim municipality ordered the displaced Tawergha residents to evacuate the camp.
Shleik explained to ArraedLG that the evacuation of the camp was due to what he described as “the behavior of some of the camp’s youth who are at outlaws,” describing the situation as bad inside the camp after the eviction order.
He pointed out that residents of the camp now have difficulties in transporting their belongings from the camp, pointing out that some of them are still standing on the sidewalk outside the camp, and do not know where to go with their family.
The Airport Road Camp is one of four camps located inside Tripoli and houses hundreds of displaced persons from Tawergha.
