The House of Representatives (HOR) Speaker media advisor, Fathi Abdelkarim Marimi said on Tuesday that the Speaker of the Council, Aqila Saleh discussed with French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian and the Ambassador of France to Libya Berejet Krumi a number of topics related to the latest political developments and referendum on the Constitution, and the presidential and parliamentary elections.
Al-Marimi said in a statement to ArraedLG, Saleh outlined on Monday the steps taken by the House of Representatives lately and that the elections will be held on time, noting that the French Foreign Minister expressed his country’s readiness to assist in the electoral process.
The Libyan parties agreed, late May in Paris, on holding presidential elections before the end of the year.
