The commander of the Ajdabiya operations room, Fawzi Al-Mansuri said on Tuesday that security elements surrounded ISIS members who attacked Egela police station in Al-Jafr area, adding that one of the security personnel in the room was killed while another was wounded.
Al-Mansuri said in a statement to ArraedLG that IS elements took their fallen members to an unknown destination, denying capturing a number of them and attributing early statements to preliminary information.
The Commander said the attack resulted in the burning of a large part of the police station an ambulance and the of an armored vehicle.
Al-Mansuri said the attackers had stolen a communication device and left behind five shells of a bomb-laden and explosive Hauser ready for detonation.
IS militant attacked, at dawn on Tuesday, a police station in the area of Egela, 130 kilometers west of Ajdabiya.
