The Joint Libyan-Italian Chamber spokesperson, Ayoub Qassem said that the Libyan Coast Guard commander has agreed with the commander of the Italian Financial Guard on maintaining boats by an Italian technical team on a specific schedule.
Qassem revealed in a statement to ArraedLG that the team had recently arrived at the Tripoli naval base, signed an agreement to build an integrated maintenance workshop at the base and train 28 officers for receiving two boats in October, adding that they were training 40 crewmembers and delivering 10 rubber.
The commander of the Italian Maritime Security Guard, in a visit to Libya, met with the commander of the Libyan Coast Guard.
