NOC lifts force majeure over oil ports

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the lifting of force majeure in the ports of Ras Lanuf,Es Sidra, Zueitina and Hariga after the facilities were handed over to the corporation on Wednesday morning.

The Corporation’s media office announced that the production and export operations would return to normal level gradually in the next few hours.

The NOC chairman, Mustafa Sanalla called on officials to be transparent and fair in the distribution of oil imports, stressing the need to sit in a national dialogue on the fair distribution of oil revenues in Libya.

Sanalla called on the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Libya to publish budgets and public expenditures in detail, so that Libyans can monitor every dinar spent from their oil wealth, pledging to work with the concerned parties to promote transparency and solve the crisis in the public interest.

The National Oil Corporation declared the status of force majeure in the oil ports after Operation Dignity commander, Khalifa Haftar prevented companies from shipping oil.
