Oil prices rise as NOC imposes force majeure in oil ports

Oil prices jumped on Tuesday after the National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced force majeure at Hariga and Zuetina oil ports.

Brent crude was up 41 cents from closing at $ 77.71 a barrel, while the WTI rose 57 cents to $ 74.51 a barrel, according to Reuters.

On Monday, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the status of force majeure at the ports of Hariga and Zuetina ports, because Haftar Forces did not retreat from its decision to prevent ships from entering the ports to ship the quantities allocated to them.
