Neighboring countries of Libya summit canceled

The summit of “Neighboring Countries of Libya” set to be held on the sidelines of the African Union summit in the Mauritanian capital has been canceled.

A source in the Mauritanian presidency told the Russian news agency Sputnik on Sunday that the summit was canceled after Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Medbouli and the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Faiz Al-Sarraj, left for no apparent reason.

The summit was scheduled to discuss the Libyan crisis in preparation for parliamentary and presidential elections in Libya before the end of this year, with the participation of Libya’s neighboring countries.
