A source in Ras Ajdir border crossing said on Saturday that Tunisian protesters allowed Libyan families to return to Libya, after they closed the road and prevented them from returning for several hours.
The source told ArraedLG, the decision to allow the Libyans to cross home took hours, and came after negotiations with the Tunisian authorities regarding the suspension of the protesters on the decision of the Libyan Interior Ministry to prevent smuggling, according to the source.
The source said that the decision of the Ministry was rejected by some Tunisian citizens in the border area of Bengardane, pointing out that the movement of the port is going normally so far.
Ras Ajdir border crossing with Tunisia has witnessed, in earlier times, protests by Tunisians against decisions taken by the two countries.
