French FM says all means must be used to implement the Paris Agreement

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian called for “all means” to be used to implement the commitments made by the Libyan parties during their meeting in Paris in May.

During a press conference with his Chadian counterpart, Mohamed Zine Sharif, Le Drian said that the Paris meeting on Libya was an important step because there were commitments made by the parties, including a timetable, which set the date for holding the legislative and presidential elections on 10 December.

On 29 May, Paris hosted a conference that brought together for the first time the head of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Faiz Al-Sarraj, the president of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mashri, the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR) Aqila Saleh and the commander of Operation Dignity Khalifa Hafter.
