HCS president says delegation from the Council will visit Tobruk

The president of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mashri announced that he sent a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh informing him of his intention to visit Tobruk with a delegation of 30 members of the Council.

On Wednesday, Al-Mashri said in an interview with Al-Jazeera, First Deputy Naji Mukhtar will travel to Tobruk to coordinate the visit and prepare for it.

Al-Mashri said that we seek to remove the obstacles that stand in the way of economic reforms, pointing out that the HCS will begin issuing decisions gradually after the month of Ramadan.

The President said, the procedures agreed upon in Tunisia need a long time to implement, and the citizen and the economy of Libya needs “speed in implementation, and an urgent economic reform.”

The Tunis meeting, which was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Sadiq Al-Kabeer, Vice-President of the Presidential Council (PC), Fathi Al-Majbari and members of the Audit Bureau, concluded to an announcement of economic measures that include raising subsidies on fuel, paying family and children allowances and changing the foreign exchange rate.
