The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the entry of the third gas unit in Al-Sareer gas generation station to the public network with a capacity of 220 MW.
The company said on its official page on Monday, the entry of the third unit comes after the end of the technicians and engineers of the company from the maintenance of the unit, stressing that the entry will reduce the deficit in the electricity grid.
The third unit in Al-Sareer gas generation station was exposed in 2014 to missile bombardment, which caused the unit to stop service for five years.
