Sunni: The absence of national solutions produced the Paris Initiative

The political adviser to the head of the Presidential Council (PC), Tahir Al-Sunni said on Wednesday the meeting in Paris was not to solve the problem of legitimacy, or recognition of the other parties.

Al-Sunni, in a tweet, said that what happened was the consensus of the actors in the Libyan scene to solve the crisis through the ballot polls, after what he called “failure”, which lasted nearly three years, pointing out that the international community unanimously agreed this path “in the absence of realistic national solutions,” he said.

The Libyan political parties agreed in Paris, Tuesday, on several points, including holding presidential and parliamentary elections in December 2018.
