HOR suspends session after dispute erupts between members

The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh suspended the Council’s session on Tuesday because of verbal arguments that took place between some members over the relocation of the Council’s headquarters to the city of Benghazi.

The meeting, attended by 14 members, dealt with agenda concerning the transfer of the Council’s headquarters from the city of Tobruk to Benghazi, and discussing the election law.

A number of members of the House of Representatives called last week to move the Council’s headquarters to the city of Benghazi, four years after holding its meetings in the city of Tobruk.
