Agreement to improve situation of refugees and displaced persons

The Ministry of the Displaced Affairs announced on Sunday its agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to exchange information, assess the health conditions of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and municipalities hosting illegal immigrants.

The ministry said on its official page, the agreement aims to raise the capacity of primary health centers, immunization service providers for migrants and targeting hospitals in the southern regions.

The Minister, Yousuf Jalalah discussed with Vice-Director of WHO, Raniero Quire, the humanitarian health programs for children and women, and vulnerable groups, with limited financial resources.

The World Health Organization had announced the provision of mobile medical clinics, and the provision of operational materials for hospitals in partnership with the Government of National Accord (GNA) Ministry of Health.
