MSF concerned about detention of 800 migrants in Libya

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has expressed concern about the fate of about 800 illegal immigrants held at a Zuwara housing center in difficult conditions.

The organization said on its official website on Friday, these migrants have been held in inhumane conditions for more than five months without food or water to meet their living needs, indicating that among them are women and children, according to the organization.

MSF called for an end to arbitrary detention of refugees and asylum-seekers from migrants in Libya.

On Tuesday, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees transferred 88 migrants, flown from Zuwara to a detention center in Tripoli.
