HOR speaker invites HCS president to meet in Tobruk

Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh invited the president of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mashri for another meeting in the city of Tobruk after their meeting on Monday, in Morocco.

Saleh said in a press conference in Rabat with the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita the president of the HCS announced his intention to visit the HOR headquarter since he took over, and we welcome meeting him in Tobruk, adding “we are brothers with no enmity between us.”

Saleh stressed that the Skhirat agreement is the only appropriate framework to settle the political dispute, pointing out that the current stage and the political conditions that the country is going through dictate the need for some amendments to the agreement to respond to the aspirations of all parties.

HOR speaker said the need to reach a political agreement as soon as possible, is a must; to “save Libya, unify the institutions and ensure a decent living for its citizens.”

The President of the High Council of the State met on Monday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh in Rabat, Morocco to start a real dialogue that breaks the current political deadlock.
