Jordan says visa exemption limited to Libyan patients

The Libyan embassy in Jordan said on Wednesday, the decision to exempt Libyans from an entry-visa to Jordan is restricted to patients only.

The embassy confirmed on its official page that men over the age of 50 and children under the age of 15 and women are the only groups exempted from an entry-visa to Jordan, if coming for treatment accompanied by medical reports to prove it.

The embassy explained that the patients’ companions have to obtain a visa to Jordan, pointing out that what is news circulating regarding Jordan’s intention to gradually raise visa provisions on Libyan citizens is incorrect.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry has exempted patients, who are men over the age of 50, children under the age of 15, and women, at the beginning of April, from the need of a visa to enter its territory.
