The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said, a committee was set up to investigate the collision of Technip’s ship “Safe Swift” with Sabratha naval platform.
The NOC media office said, in a statement obtained by ArraedLG on Tuesday, the collision led to some physical damage to the ship and the platform from the north-east side, without any human casualties.
The Corporation’s media office added that specialists from the National Oil Corporation and Mellitah Gas Company, commissioned a specialized international inspection company; to assess the incident, and to submit an urgent report.
Technip is developing the Sabratha platform in preparation for connecting the second stage of the Sea of Peace project.
