Benina airport suspends work because of security chaos

Benina International Airport announced on Monday the suspension of work in all offices and departments, starting from Tuesday, because of the problems between the security and military services inside the airport.

The administration of the airport said, in a statement published on its official page, the overlap in security specialties, and the increase of problems between the security services, led to the spread of chaos at the airport.

The statement pointed out that the airport administration notified the appropriate authorities in the state about the security chaos inside the airport, but no action against violators of the laws and the public interest was made, according to the statement.

Benina International Airport was closed for more than three years after the launch of the Dignity Operation in Benghazi, before resuming work in 2017.
