The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced the opening of a DNA Analysis Laboratory in Tripoli, affiliated to the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and Missing Persons (GACFMMP).
The NOC press office said on Tuesday, this advanced technology will help identify and prove the relations between the victims and missing persons and their families, adding that it will also ease the suffering of families of victims and missing persons, .
The Corporation pointed out that in cooperation with Repsol, it will continue to support the laboratory and train medical staff, indicating that the DNA laboratory is equipped with the latest equipment and supervised by a “highly qualified” technical staff to deal with issues related to identification of human identity.
The DNA laboratory uses technology for human identification, attribution, and analysis of criminal cases.
