Speaker of the House of Representatives (HOR), Aqila Saleh said the military operations launched by the Haftar forces in Derna will coordinate with the Egyptian authorities.
Aqila said in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper Youm7 on Monday, the military operation of what he called the “liberation of Derna” is a priority for Egypt, so “terrorist groups” stationed in the city will not escape to Egyptian territory.
The city of Derna suffers from shortages of medicines and fuel; as a result of a more than two years’ siege by Haftar forces.
