The Sirte Protection Force assistant commander of security, Colonel Ali Rufaida said on Sunday, the security team arrested drivers of fuel cars on their way back from “delivering fuel to members of IS”.
“The suspects were arrested on Saturday evening، south of the city of Sirte،” said Rufaida، adding that they were handed over to the criminal investigation authorities and the Attorney General’s Office، noting that this arrest is not the first of its kind.
The Sirte Protection Force room was commissioned from the Government of National Accord (GNA) Ministry of Interior to secure the city of Sirte after it was liberated from IS.
